Silver Snake Pair Nag Nagin ka Joda

Nag Panchami day is very auspicious to do pooja for serpents ( Nag Nagin ) and to remove kaal sarpa dosha in kundali. Nag Panchami festival is celebrated throughout India and falls on the fifth day of bright half of lunar month of Shravana (July/August), according to the Hindu calendar. As part of the festivities, a Naga or serpent deity made of silver, stone, wood, copper or a painting of snakes is given a reverential bath with milk and their blessings are sought for the welfare of the family.

According to ancient sculptures, Brahama’s son Kashyapa had four wives. the first weife gave birth to Devas; the second one to Garudas; the third to Nags(snakes); and the fourth to daityas.

Our ancients believed that lord Subrahmanya will come to bless us in the form of a snake. so they are used to worship snakes to respect the god and avoid any problems. People used to go to the ant hills, usually the home for snakes. After cleaning the surroundings, laying garlands, puja was performed to please the snakes inside. they used to bound the turmeric thread around the snakes’s home. then milk was poured inside the hill and eggs were put for the snake to eat. next day, the worshippers would come back to take the scared thread and tie it to their hands.
